What information does NeoScript collect?

Personal Information

Personal information means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person; an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person ("Personal Information").

NeoScript may collect the following Personal Information from you: e-mail address, IP address, country code (derived from your IP address at the time of registration), information about the type of browser you use, your operating system, and, if applicable, your marketing consent preferences.

Account and Login Data

When you create an account, we collect your e-mail address, a hashed (bcrypt) version of your password, and a record of your acceptance of our Terms of Service including the timestamp, IP address, and browser at the time of acceptance. When you log in, we record the IP address, browser/user agent, platform, and outcome of each login attempt in order to detect unauthorised access and provide you with a login history in your account area.

Marketing Consent

If you opt in to marketing communications at registration or later via your profile, we record your consent along with the timestamp, IP address, and browser at the time of consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time by visiting User Profile → Accept mails from Administrator and selecting "No".

License and Payment Data

If you purchase a license, we store your invoice, license key, the domain you register the license to, any add-ons purchased, and the amount paid. Payments are processed by third-party gateways (see Third-Party Processors below); NeoScript does not store card details.

Server Information

If you install NeoScript software, the software may transmit to us the licensed status of the installation, the public IP address of the server, and basic environment details (operating system, virtualisation). This is used for license validation and fraud prevention.

Non-Personal Information

NeoScript also collects data in a form that does not, on its own, permit direct association with any specific individual, such as aggregated analytics data. NeoScript may collect, use, transfer, and disclose non-personal information for any purpose.

Lawful basis for processing

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we rely on the following legal bases:

• Contract (Article 6(1)(b)): Account creation, license management, invoice processing, customer support, and license validation — processing necessary to perform our contract with you.
• Legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)): Login history logging and security monitoring to detect and prevent unauthorised access; server information to prevent license fraud.
• Consent (Article 6(1)(a)): Marketing emails and newsletters — only sent where you have given explicit opt-in consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
• Consent (Article 6(1)(a)): Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) — only loaded after you grant analytics consent via the cookie banner.

What information does NeoScript collect if you're under the age of 13?

NeoScript does not knowingly collect Personal Information about children under the age of 13. If NeoScript becomes aware that it has inadvertently collected Personal Information about children under the age of 13, it will take steps to delete the information as soon as possible, except where NeoScript is required by applicable law to keep it.

Where NeoScript knows a child is above the age of 13, but considered a minor under applicable law, NeoScript will obtain parental/guardian consent prior to using that child's Personal Information.

How does NeoScript use and store the information it collects?

As a general matter, NeoScript may use the Personal Information you disclose to NeoScript to improve and provide the website, the Services and NeoScript's other products and services, and for the specific purpose that you gave NeoScript your Personal Information.

NeoScript may use Personal Information to create and authenticate your account, to process transactions you request such as software license purchases in order to perform any contract you have entered into with NeoScript, to provide you with customer and technical support and to communicate with you about your account and NeoScript's products and services.

If you have given your consent to marketing communications, NeoScript may use your e-mail address to send newsletters or product updates. You can opt out at any time by visiting your User Profile and updating your preference, or by following the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.

From time to time, NeoScript may use your Personal Information to send important notices, such as important product updates and communications about purchases as well as changes to NeoScript's terms, conditions, and policies. Because this information is important for your interaction with NeoScript you may not opt out of receiving these communications.

NeoScript may use Server Information to provide you with technical support services and to maintain, evaluate, improve and provide NeoScript products and services. NeoScript may also use such information to investigate unlicensed uses of NeoScript's software.

Third-party service providers

NeoScript uses the following third-party services that may receive or process your personal data. We use these services only for the stated purposes.

• Sendy — email marketing. Your e-mail address is synced to our mailing list when you opt in to marketing communications, and removed when you opt out.
• CCPayment — cryptocurrency payment processing. Order ID and invoice amount are sent to CCPayment to process your payment. Their privacy policy governs their use of your data.
• FaucetPay — cryptocurrency payment processing. Payment token and transaction data are sent to FaucetPay to process your payment.
• Cloudflare Turnstile — bot protection on registration and login. IP address and browser data are processed by Cloudflare under their Data Processing Addendum.
• Google Analytics — website analytics. Anonymised usage data (pages visited, session duration) is collected only after you grant analytics consent via the cookie banner. Google processes this data under Google's Data Processing Terms.

Cookies

NeoScript uses cookies and similar technologies. You can manage your preferences through the cookie consent banner shown on your first visit. The categories are:

• Necessary: Session cookies required for authentication and CSRF protection. These cannot be disabled.
• Functional: Your theme preference (light/dark mode) stored in your browser's local storage.
• Analytics: Google Analytics sets _ga and _ga_* cookies to distinguish users and track usage. These cookies are retained for up to 2 years. They are only set after you grant analytics consent.

How long does NeoScript keep your data?

NeoScript retains Personal Information only for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law.

• Login history — IP addresses, browser information, and platform details are automatically and permanently deleted after 90 days. This deletion is performed by an automated process and applies to all accounts.
• Email verification and password reset tokens — deleted automatically when they expire or are used.
• Unpaid invoices — deleted automatically after 15 days.
• Account data — retained while your account is active. Contact us to request deletion.
• Financial records (invoices, license records) — may be retained beyond account closure where required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as dispute resolution.

Your rights

Under the GDPR (where applicable), you have the following rights regarding your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected] unless a self-service option is listed.

• Right of access (Article 15): You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. You can also download a structured JSON export of your data directly from your account at User Profile → Download your data.
• Right to rectification (Article 16): You can update your marketing preferences in your User Profile at any time.
• Right to erasure (Article 17): You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us. Note that financial records may be retained where required by law.
• Right to data portability (Article 20): You can download a machine-readable copy of your personal data (profile, login history, licenses, invoices) at any time via /user/data-export in your account area.
• Right to restriction of processing (Article 18): You can request that we restrict processing of your data while a complaint or correction is pending.
• Right to object (Article 21): You can object to processing based on legitimate interest. For marketing communications, you can withdraw consent at any time via your User Profile.
• Right to withdraw consent: Where processing is based on consent (marketing, analytics cookies), you can withdraw at any time via your User Profile or the cookie banner. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
• Right to lodge a complaint: If you believe we have not handled your personal data in accordance with applicable law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection supervisory authority.

Providing your e-mail address is required to create an account and use NeoScript's services. Providing marketing consent is optional and not a condition of service.
